Biography

Maria Akpan was professionally trained all around the world, UK, Los Angeles & New York. She started training at the age of 19 in all different styles for Ballet, Jazz, Afrobeats, Hiphop & Heels. 

Maria had years of experience dancing in TV, theatre and film, credits include Davido, Mobo Awards, Miss Black Britain, Bet Awards and many more. She also appeared in a musical theatre ‘Thrillerlive’ as a lead dancer.

During her musical/ commercial career Maria has worked & trained with some top worldwide producers, choreographers & teachers. Aisha Francis, Yanis Marshall & Gary Lloyd many more. She also performed as an actress/extra on Brookside & Hollyoaks.

She has a wealth of experience on stage from music videos & stage performances. Maria performed with Maggie Szabo, Arielle & Amber Smokes to name a few. Maria also performed for fashion brand Milano di rouge in the BET Awards. Maria has also taken part of lots of charity events with Beat Babes and even had shoe company Burju repost here work.
